2100年9月25日　ミネソタ州の新しい知事　マーク･デイトン知事が日米中西部会に

出席の為来日され、 日本ミネソタ会との交流を深めました。

　マーク・デイトン、ミネソタ州知事が来日し、帝国ホテルで行なわれた日米中西部会で

スピーチをおこないました。今回は２日間という大変短い来日 だったため、昨年の昼食

会のようなイベントの企画は難しかったのですが、幸いにも、日本ミネソタ会幹事メンバー

と会談の機会を設けていただきまし た。日本ミネソタ会幹事会から６名が参加し、我々が

日本とミネソタの架け橋として、様々な活動をおこなっていることを、知事にご紹介いたし

まし た。なお来年２０１２年はミネソタ州がホストとなり、ミネソタで日米中西部会が行なわ

れます。

　Minnesota's new governor, Mark Dayton, visited Japan in September

to speak at the Midwest US-Japan Association conference. His visit

was very short and we were not able to have the opportunity to host

a Minnesota reception this time. However, by the courtesy of the

Governor, the board members of the Japan Minnesota Association were

invited at the Imperial Hotel and had the opportunity to introduce our

society to new Governor. The Midwest US-Japan Association conference

will be held in Minnesota next year.
